Our lawyers actively participated in the privatization process of the state-owned telecommunications company, advising foreign investors and one of the consortiums that was awarded the operating license in one of the two areas in which the concession was divided nationwide. Subsequently, we continued advising the telecom company in various issues of the specialty, acting in most of the regulatory conflicts that arose in the country, among which those regarding the tariff regime, the use of the public network by third party operators, international call-back services and the extension of the basic telephone services exclusivity.
Our experience extends as well to the remaining telecommunication services. We have advised one of the mobile telephony companies since the beginning of its activities. Since then we have accompanied its consolidation in the market, providing services that include routine advice as well as representation before national, provincial and municipal authorities in the obtaining of licenses and authorizations of radioelectric spectrum and installation of infrastructure and wireless networks, administrative approval proceedings, legal proceedings, contracts, negotiation of interconnection agreements and relations with clients and consumer associations, among other aspects.
We have actively collaborated with our clients in the incorporation of new technologies and the development of new businesses. We provided advice to the first company to establish a network and services 100% based on IP technology and in various companies involved in the business of broadband wireless services. We actively participated in the design of strategies of integration of networks of cable television and of telecommunications services. Our experience in the area also includes the development of modern value added services, global networks and satellite services, area in which we have been involved in projects such as geostationary and non-geostationary satellite systems, regional and worldwide fiber optic networks and underwater cable.
