Biography

Laura Lavia Haidempergher graduated as a lawyer from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1993.

She joined the firm in March 2003, as a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department.

She has been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions; reorganizations; companies counseling, complex arbitrations; financing transactions; capital markets, environmental law and corporate, bankruptcy and commercial law matters.

She has taken postgraduate qualifications in Advanced Bankruptcy Law (1996) and Corporate Counseling (1996 - 1997) at Universidad de Buenos Aires. In 2002, she obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree at Universidad del CEMA, which she completed at San Diego State University (USA) due to her academic merits. Her final thesis obtained an honorable mention.

She is a PhD candidate at the Law School of Universidad de Buenos Aires. She has completed all the courses of the PhD program and is currently preparing her thesis.

In addition, she has attended several relevant courses, conferences and seminars on business and corporate law, giving lectures in those topics as well.

She served as assistant professor in the subjects Civil and Commercial Companies, Commercial Law, and Modern Contracts at the Law School of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (1992 - 2000). In 2007, she resumed her teaching activities in “Civil and Commercial Companies” and “Commercial Law” at the same institution.
