Biography

Mercedes de Artaza graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Católica Argentina in 2002 and holds a Masters Degree in Companies Law from Universidad Austral.

She joined the firm in February 2011, as a member of the Antitrust and Mergers & Acquisitions Departments.

Before joining the firm she worked as legal counsel in the economic consultancy firm Ecolatina and in the Directorate of Unfair Trade of the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce, under the Ministry of Industry.

She specializes in foreign trade issues, such as antidumping practices, commercial safeguards, subsidies, import licenses and other unfair practices of international trade, as well as in the securing of fiscal benefits under industrial promotion regimes.

She serves as teaching assistant in Private Law at Universidad de Buenos Aires.
